While the on-screen Christie is brought to life by actress Vivien Keene, AI is employed to augment her appearance and perfectly mimic the famed author. According to a press release, the teachings presented are “in Agatha’s very own words,” derived from insights and writings of the real Christie. To ensure authenticity, the BBC collaborated with the Agatha Christie Estate, drawing upon restored audio recordings, licensed images, interviews, and her published works. The script itself was penned by academics, ensuring the content is human-made and not generated by an AI model trained solely on her existing books.
