## Google’s AI-Powered NotebookLM Goes Mobile: Pre-Orders Now Open

Google’s NotebookLM, the AI-powered note-taking and research assistant, is expanding its reach beyond the desktop. Android and iOS apps are now available for preorder, with a scheduled launch date of May 20th, according to listings on the respective app stores.

Since its initial launch in late 2023, NotebookLM has been exclusively accessible via desktop. This move marks a significant step towards making the intelligent assistant available to students, professionals, and researchers on the go.

NotebookLM leverages artificial intelligence to simplify and enhance the process of understanding complex information. Key features include smart summaries, enabling users to quickly grasp the core concepts of documents and materials. The application also allows users to pose specific questions about the content, receiving AI-driven answers and insights. Furthermore, NotebookLM offers the ability to generate AI-powered “Audio Overviews,” essentially podcasts summarizing complex topics for easier consumption while multitasking.
