## Razer Laptops Return to US Storefront After Brief Sales Pause, But Questions Remain
Razer has quietly resumed selling some of its Blade laptops on its US website, following a recent and sudden halt in sales that sparked speculation about the impact of ongoing tariffs. The pause, which saw all Blade laptops temporarily removed from the US Razer site, including the highly anticipated Blade 16 featuring Nvidia’s RTX 50-series GPUs, left potential customers and industry observers puzzled. Interestingly, sales remained unaffected in other regions, such as Canada.
The abrupt halt in sales, coupled with reports of Blade 16 preorders being held up in US Customs, fueled rumors that tariffs were the culprit. Despite these concerns and inquiries from various media outlets, including *The Verge*, Razer remained silent, adding to the mystery surrounding the situation.
Now, some configurations of the 2025 Blade 16 have reappeared on the US Razer site, offering a glimmer of hope for US residents eager to get their hands on the latest gaming laptops. However, the return is partial. Not all Blade models are currently available for purchase. Older 2024 Blade 16 models, which were still available before the pause, and preorders for the Blade 18, are conspicuously absent for US customers.
Adding to the intrigue, the currently available 2025 Blade 16 configurations are limited. As of now, only the RTX 5080 GPU version is available for immediate purchase. The entry-level RTX 5070 Ti and the flagship RTX 5090 configurations are only listed with “notify me” buttons, suggesting limited availability or upcoming releases.
Even more perplexing is the configuration of the RTX 5090 model that is listed. It’s currently offered with 64GB of RAM and 4TB of storage for $4,899.99. Notably missing is the configuration *The Verge* received for review, which featured 32GB of RAM and 1TB of storage and was priced at $4,499.99.
While the laptop situation remains somewhat unclear, the Razer Adjustable Laptop Stand is also unavailable for purchase in the US. However, the Canadian Razer site lists the stand for $99.99 CAD, along with the review spec of the 5090 Blade 16 and preorders for the Blade 18.
The reasons behind the initial sales pause and the current, limited availability of Blade laptops in the US remain largely unknown. *The Verge* has reached out to Razer for clarification and will provide updates as more information becomes available. For now, US customers hoping to purchase a Razer Blade laptop face a confusing landscape of limited options and unanswered questions.
