# Google’s AI Podcast Maker Now Speaks Your Language: Audio Overviews Expands to Over 50 Languages

## Google’s AI Podcast Maker Now Speaks Your Language: Audio Overviews Expands to Over 50 Languages

Google’s NotebookLM app is breaking down language barriers with its AI-powered Audio Overviews feature. This innovative tool, which transforms research documents into engaging, podcast-like conversations, has expanded its language support to encompass over 50 languages, including Spanish, Portuguese, French, Hindi, Turkish, Korean, and Chinese.

Originally launched in English, Audio Overviews offers users a convenient way to digest information by listening to AI-generated summaries and discussions of their uploaded documents. This is particularly helpful for researchers, students, and anyone who prefers auditory learning or needs to absorb information on the go.

The process of switching languages is straightforward. Users can simply navigate to NotebookLM, select their settings in the top-right corner, and choose their preferred “Output Language.” This simple adjustment unlocks the ability to receive responses and listen to Audio Overviews in the chosen language.

Google views this expansion as an “early look at what’s possible” and plans to continue refining the feature based on user feedback. Since its initial launch last year, Audio Overviews has seen significant growth, expanding to over 200 countries and introducing new features that allow users to guide and even interact with the AI hosts of the conversations.

Beyond NotebookLM, Google has also integrated Audio Overviews into its Gemini AI chatbot and Google Docs, further broadening its accessibility and allowing users to convert a wider range of written materials into AI podcasts. This move signals Google’s commitment to leveraging AI to enhance content consumption and make information more accessible to a global audience. With its expanded language support, Audio Overviews is poised to become an even more valuable tool for learning, research, and information sharing.
