DJI recently increased the price of its Osmo Pocket 3 camera, first from $519 to $619, and then again to $799 in the US. Blackmagic Design has also raised prices on its digital cinema cameras and even scrapped plans to build a new factory in Dallas, Texas, citing the cost of tariffs on imported semiconductor parts.

    The price increase by Leica underscores the far-reaching impact of global tariffs and the challenges businesses face in navigating international trade complexities. While Leica explores long-term solutions to better serve its Canadian customer base, photographers north of the border will unfortunately have to pay more for their coveted Leica cameras.

    Developed in collaboration with Disney and Lucasfilm, the G1T4-M1N1 adopts the iconic alphanumeric naming convention of Star Wars droids. This special edition boasts custom decals, lights, and sound effects designed to evoke the spirit of R2-D2 and other beloved robotic companions from a galaxy far, far away.

    But this isn’t just a cosmetic upgrade. The G1T4-M1N1 retains all the functionality of the original Gitamini. Launched in 2021, the Gitamini is a smaller, more affordable version of Piaggio’s full-size Gita robot. It balances on two large wheels and uses an array of cameras and sensors, including radar, to autonomously follow its owner, avoiding obstacles with ease. It can keep pace up to 6mph and carry up to 20 pounds of cargo in its compact container, making it perfect for running errands or carrying supplies on the go. Its range maxes out at around 21 miles or seven hours of use, depending on terrain and load.

    The *Star Wars* inspired enhancements include bright yellow droid decals adorning the exterior panels and the interior of the cargo bin. Through the app, you can check battery life, adjust the volume of sounds (or mute them entirely), and even give your droid a custom name. The app also enables you to stream music to the robot, which plays through its built-in Bluetooth speaker. Imagine strolling down the street with your loyal G1T4-M1N1 playing John Williams’ “The Imperial March” or the “Cantina Band” song!

    The G1T4-M1N1 is available now through PFF’s online store and DisneyStore.com for $2,875.
