## Manus AI Lands $75 Million Funding Round, Eyes Global Expansion
Chinese AI startup Manus AI, focused on developing AI agent tools, has reportedly secured $75 million in a funding round led by Benchmark. According to a Bloomberg report, the investment values the company at approximately $500 million.
Manus AI intends to utilize the new capital to fuel expansion into key global markets, including the United States, Japan, and the Middle East. This marks a significant step for the company as it seeks to compete on a broader international stage.
This latest funding round represents a fivefold increase in Manus AI’s valuation compared to its previous funding, which totaled over $10 million. Earlier investors included prominent names like Tencent and HSG (formerly Sequoia China), demonstrating confidence in the company’s potential from early stages.
Manus AI recently gained attention with the demonstration of a general AI agent capable of performing diverse tasks. While initial tests by TechCrunch showed mixed results, the company quickly followed up with the launch of paid subscription plans, ranging from $39 to $199 per month, signaling a commitment to monetizing its AI agent technology. The company also launched a mobile app around that time. This funding round from Benchmark validates Manus AI’s vision and provides the resources necessary for further development and market penetration.
