The initial increase, a quiet jump from $519 to $619, occurred in April. Now, the camera is officially listed at $799 in the US, representing a staggering $280 (54%) price surge within a mere eight weeks. According to DJI spokesperson Daisy Kong, this isn’t a mistake; the higher price is the current reality. Major US retailers have already updated their listings to reflect the change.

The “Creator Combo,” which includes valuable accessories like a modular extended battery handle and the highly-regarded Mic 2 wireless lav microphones, has experienced an even steeper price increase. Originally priced at $669, the kit quietly rose to $799 in early April before reaching its current listing of $979.

The cause of these dramatic price changes remains somewhat unclear. While DJI acknowledges that tariffs “are certainly among the key considerations,” the company refrains from definitively attributing the hikes solely to the ongoing trade tensions between the US and China.
