## Trump’s Claim of MS-13 Tattoos on Deported Man Raises Eyebrows – Are They Just Calibri Text?
President Donald Trump is under scrutiny for repeatedly claiming that a man his administration wrongly deported and imprisoned in El Salvador is a dangerous MS-13 gang member, citing “MS-13” tattoos on the man’s knuckles as evidence. The claim, made during an interview with ABC News correspondent Terry Moran, is related to the case of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, who was deported and imprisoned in El Salvador in error, despite a protective order and, later, a Supreme Court ruling demanding his return.
Trump stated he could order Abrego Garcia’s return but refused to do so because of his alleged gang affiliation. The controversy arises from the fact that the supposed tattoos, which Trump reportedly posted an image of on his Truth Social account, appear to be simple text labels in the Calibri typeface, rather than genuine tattoos.
This insistence on the “tattoo” evidence comes as the administration has been struggling to justify Abrego Garcia’s deportation. The government has so far refused to present any evidence of gang affiliation at an immigration hearing.
The situation has sparked debate and ridicule, with many questioning the authenticity of the “tattoos” and suggesting the image may have been doctored. This incident further fuels the ongoing controversy surrounding the Abrego Garcia case and the administration’s immigration policies.
